Thanks to the long-proven cone dosing system, the GRAVICOLOR 310 and 610 can dose and mix up to eight different materials precisely and with the highest recipe accuracy. The modular design and excellent engineering guarantee optimum performance, flexibility, and reliability of the equipment. This gravimetric batch dosing and mixing system is specially designed for injection moulding, blow moulding, and extrusion processes.
Two control units are available for the GRAVICOLOR 310 and 610:
- GRAVInet GC-E
With integrated IntelliBlend analysis function. This control enables:- continuous self-optimisation of the system for maximum recipe accuracy
- event-based logging of all parameter changes for comprehensive traceability
- GRAVInet GC-N
Specifically developed for the demands of continuous processes. It is based on Siemens S7 and offers:- diagnostic data on recipe and batch accuracy for maximum process reliability

Highly accurate and consistent dosing for the correct recipe and low additive consumption.The GRAVInet GC-E, equipped with the integrated IntelliBlend function, continuously analyses all process data regardless of recipe, material, or operating environment, and achieves the optimum operating point at all times through self-optimisation. This maximum recipe accuracy ensures the highest and most consistent product quality.
The regrind management function of the GRAVInet GC-E automatically adjusts the dosed masterbatch quantity based on the available amount of regrind, preventing overdosing of the costly masterbatch. Weighing accuracy remains unaffected by machine vibrations, as these are filtered out by a specialised algorithm.

Fastest material changeovers and cleaning
Higher efficiency because more time spent in production.Quick material changeovers and cleaning are improved by the optimised modular design. The large front door, removable weigh bin and mixing chamber make it easy to change materials. The material hoppers can be removed with minimum effort but can also easily be emptied using the quick discharge pipe that is attached to each material hopper. The large viewing window is removable so enabling the material hopper and the hopper loader mounted above to be thoroughly cleaned.

Unique cone dosing
Maximum accuracy.All components are dosed using the unique motan cone dosing system. These batch dosing and mixing units therefore guarantee maximum dosing accuracy.
Cone dosing opens centrally and allows for symmetrical material flow. Any potential material bridges are destroyed through the vertical movement of the cone.
So, a clean material flow is always guaranteed, even for difficult flowing regrind materials such as flakes. The material hoppers can be equipped with five different cone sizes. Thanks to the variable selection of dosing modules, we can offer a customised solution for your process.

Weigh bin

Integrated conveying
No need to buy a separate control.Thanks to the integrated conveying function in the GRAVICOLOR control system, a separate conveying control is not required. They can operate up to nine material loaders with a blower station. The GRAVInet GC‑E also allows operation of an additional stand-by blower. This enables, for example, the material supply for an eight‑component mixing station together with the processing machine to be controlled directly by the GRAVICOLOR unit.

Ionisation option
Increased process reliability thanks to ionised air.The ionisation option blows ionised air into the weigh bin and mixing chamber. This reduces electrostatic adhesion of the materials to the surfaces of the GRAVICOLOR. This helps maintain a homogeneous mixture. The amount of ionised air can be individually adjusted via a throttle valve.

Sensor cleaning option
Increased process reliability with dusty materials.The sensor cleaning option uses a blast of compressed air to clean the lens of the infrared sensor during each batch cycle. This prevents dust accumulation on the sensor.

Regrind sensor option
Intelligent regrind management with fluctuating regrind availability.With the built-in sensor on the regrind component, the “regrind management” can be activated on the control unit. The intelligent control ensures maximum use of regrind and therefore a constant recipe mix with a step-by-step approach to recipe proportions.

Level sensor option
Increased process reliability thanks to early detection of empty dosing hoppers.GRAVInet GC-E:
The level monitoring for the individual dosing hoppers can be installed separately. This monitoring provides an early warning via an alarm when the material level in the hopper is low, ensuring timely refilling and uninterrupted production.
GRAVInet GC-N:
With this control, the level monitoring is already integrated.

Installation on the machine
Saves valuable floor space.The GRAVICOLOR 310 and 610 can be easily installed on the throat of a processing machine. The control systems feature an integrated function that effectively compensates for vibrations and oscillations.
Mounting the unit on the machine shortens the material path from the mixing chamber to the processing machine, helping to prevent unwanted material separation.
Alternatively, the dosing and mixing station can be placed next to the machine or operate as a central station supplying multiple processing machines.

The full colour touch-screen display enables intuitive and secure operation with direct access to all process-relevant functions. Additionally, the control system offers comprehensive tools for process and workflow management. A regrind management function prevents overdosing of other components.
For quality assurance, CONTROLreport provides extensive reporting and documentation functions, complemented by advanced service tools and graphical process data views. The integrated event reporting allows detailed analysis of all parameter changes.
Multiple GRAVICOLOR units can be flexibly networked with each other or with other motan controls from the CONTROLnet family — ideal for complex plant systems. A central WEBpanel always provides an overview of the entire production.

Siemens S7 based control system for precise extrusion processes.The GRAVInet GC-N is based on Siemens S7 technology and has been specifically developed for the requirements of extrusion. Using ProfiNet, the system can be flexibly networked with other controls and easily integrated into existing production environments.
The 7″ full colour touch-screen display offers a clear and user-friendly interface with practical functions for alarm handling, diagnostics, configuration, and trend displays.
To ensure a stable production process, the control system delivers important diagnostic data on recipe and batch accuracy. Continuous monitoring of dosing profiles enables early detection of deviations and thus contributes to process stability.
